Israeli forces kidnapped six Palestinians, including five Hamas members in the occupied West Bank. Six Palestinians were kidnapped from their homes in the city of al-Khalil (Hebron), the West Bank, on Wednesday (27/3) morning.
Hamas parliament member Mohammed Jamal al-Natsheh of the victims reportedly included the kidnapping. Hamas has 74 members in the Palestinian Legislative Council has 132 seats.
Rights groups have condemned the kidnapping of Palestinian human and stated that the move was intended to disrupt the ongoing reconciliation efforts between the Palestinian factions as reported by news agency Irna.
The Israeli military regularly raided the homes of Palestinians in the West Bank and arrested the activists and civilians in which most of them were arrested without charge. Many of the Palestinian prisoners are in administrative detention status.
Administrative detention is imprisonment without trial or charges possible for Israeli troops to make arrests without charge for six months. However, the restraining order may be extended for an indefinite period of time.
